About Me

My photo
Welcome to my ScandinAsian food blog. A blog about what I like to make in my little Norweigan kitchen, from homemade meals to fun creative sandwiches. My parents gave me the name Sorieya, a Cambodian name, which means sun. I'm originally from the United States. Now I'm currently living in Norway, married to a Norwegian man with 3 beautiful children. It's hard being away from my family back in the States and I miss them everyday. I am not an artist but I love making fun sandwiches for my kids. I am not a professional chef but I love to cook and I love being in the kitchen. I love introducing my children to different kind of international food, introducing food from my childhood and explaining to my kids the history about their culture and food. I love spending those quality time together teaching my little ones how to make bread, Khmer food, and teaching me Norwegian. My Norwegian isn't that great but I do understand just the basics but speaking it, that's another story.

Chocolate and More Chocolate

On Thursday my son had an Easter Brunch in his classroom (his classmates and their parents) We were all to bring something. But my husband and I couldn't make it because of early appointments. So the day before I decided to make chocolate cheesecake mini danish and mini chocolate chip muffins with chocolate glazed because everyone loves chocolate especially the little ones. I baked all through the morning until late at night. I had made a total 100. 70 muffins and danishes for his brunch gathering and 30 for my kitchen to sell. Some were eaten by my little girls. So I had 20 to sell. I was wondering why so quiet and I looked around for my girls eating my chocolate chip muffins. They loved it!

After my husband picked up our son from school. He told me my baking goodies were a big hit. Nothing left in the trays.

I used sugar, milk, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, vanilla extract, Philadelphia cream cheese, chopped milk chocolate.
I mixed cheesecake filling and chopped milk chocolate together.
Made my pastry dough and cut the edges
